This was a two-phase project. The first trip to South Dakota consisted of the completion of all the concrete work. This project involved the excavation for a new building pad, saw cutting a 37’ x 3’ x 5’ area for a new foundation, drill, and epoxy 80 Dowels, pouring 130 yards of concrete, adding temporary support beams in the existing building, installing new columns in the existing building and setting anchor bolts for the new holding arm positioner.
The second trip, a month later, consisted of maintenance work and installation of the new railcar positioner. The building installation consisted of installing the sheeting, trim, and sealing the building. Williams Construction Co. then installed a positioner arm, haulage base, thrust rollers and wheels, motor blower and wire ropes.
